Sitting around bored, nothing to do.

Remembers the doctor's orders to find a relaxing hobby.

Maybe I'll organize my parts drawer... that's usually good for a few hours.

Kelby works in silence for the better part of the afternoon. Out of the stuff in his parts drawer, he has found enough components to make a small computer. He sets about assembling it.

Once finished, tries it out. Then he loads a program he had lying around that he worked on in Starfleet Academy... a rudimentary A.I.

Kelby is in his room, still wondering about the doctor's strange order.

I still can't think up a stupid hobby.

...you'd think it would be easy.

Maybe thinking about hobbies could be my new hobb... no, he'd never go for that.

...

Crap.

He rolls up into a sitting position on his bunk.

"Hell with this. M' gonna go get food."

Kelby leaves to go to the Mess Hall.

All right. I've got my refill, now...

...all I need is a hobby

Kelby looks around his quarters to see if anything comes to mind.

...uh, cleaning?

Nah, that ain't any fun.

He sits down on his chair to think about the problem.

Crew Log: Kelby, Russel

There continues to be no word on the whereabouts of Commander Tucker. This is annoying, as the work is really starting to pile up in Engineering. I may have to see the higher-ups about drafting a few of the maintenence engineers, just to keep the ship running.

Today, I have several tasks to perform:

  • Purge the injector mainfolds
  • Clean the plasma ducts
  • Conduct a visual inspection of the Jefferies tubes on deck two

Note: Investigate the possibility of calling a general Engineer's meeting to discuss the situation.
